Casa Saramago de Monsaraz is a rural tourism farm just below the medieval village of Monsaraz. Classified as a National Monument, Monsaraz is located by the Alqueva dam, about 15 km from Reguengos de Monsaraz and 50 km from the World Heritage City of Évora.
It is an area of great patrimonial and environmental wealth, from which stands out the great concentration of megalithic monuments, one of the largest in Europe, in addition to the typical regional cuisine, wines and landscape.
The area also has many rural activities, such as the production of bread, wine, olive oil and sweets, enjoy the delicious gastronomy, traditional festivities and pilgrimages.
Other activities from the area include hunting and fishing, local handicrafts and popular religious demonstrations.
