The experience begins indoors with a clear and engaging presentation on the nature of the Sun, its structure and magnetic activity. This scientific introduction prepares the eye for the most impactful moment: direct observation.
At the Official Dark Sky® Alqueva Observatory, located within the Dark Sky® Alqueva territory, observation is carried out using fully safe telescopes equipped with certified filters that completely block harmful infrared and ultraviolet radiation. These instruments allow the Sun to be observed in visible light and in the Hydrogen-alpha wavelength, revealing extraordinary details such as sunspots, filaments and prominences with remarkable clarity.
The experience concludes in a relaxed yet refined atmosphere with the tasting of a refreshing signature cocktail crafted with Sharish Gin, creating a harmonious balance between science and pleasure under the golden light of the Alentejo plains.
