Located in the heart of the Alentejo countryside, surrounded by wide open plains and vast holm oak montado landscapes, Casa do Guizo offers an accommodation experience deeply connected to the landscape and to the natural rhythm of rural life.
Set within a family-run agricultural estate, the property invites guests to experience the authentic Alentejo, where the sounds of nature are part of everyday life and where time seems to move at a slower pace. These are lands of cultivation, hunting grounds and territories of preserved nature, where the serenity of the landscape and the vastness of the horizon define the identity of this region.
The accommodation comprises six rooms and one apartment, decorated in a rustic and welcoming style that respects the traditional character of Alentejo. All rooms are equipped with private bathrooms, television and air conditioning, ensuring comfort and privacy in a simple and familiar atmosphere.
The experience at Casa do Guizo begins in the morning with breakfast prepared by the owners, featuring flavours from the estate itself: traditional sausages and cured black pork ham, homemade cakes and jams, and other local products that reflect the richness of Alentejo gastronomy.
Located in a region of low population density and outstanding environmental quality, the property is part of the Dark Sky® Alqueva territory, one of the areas in Europe with the best-preserved night skies. As night falls, the silence of the countryside and the reduced light pollution allow the sky to be observed with extraordinary clarity, making it possible to admire the Milky Way and thousands of stars with the naked eye.
During the day, the estate offers several activities to enjoy nature and rural life. From the outdoor swimming pool to walking trails, mountain biking routes and moments of contact with the animals on the property, guests will find many ways to explore the surrounding landscape. The close connection with nature also makes this place especially appealing for those seeking tranquillity, countryside walks or simply relaxing in an authentic rural setting.
Casa do Guizo also features a multi-purpose hall, prepared to host events and gatherings in a rural environment.
