Between the historic village of Terena and the wide rural landscapes of the municipality of Alandroal, Herdade D. Pedro offers an agrotourism experience deeply connected to the authenticity of Alentejo. Located on an estate owned by the Dubery family since 1980, this property was a pioneer in the region, creating in 1992 the first agrotourism project in the municipality of Alandroal. Since then, it has maintained a genuine and sustainable approach closely linked to rural life.
Here, daily life unfolds at the rhythm of nature. The estate is also a certified organic agricultural property, where cows, sheep and horses are raised, and where the organic vegetable garden continues to produce food that reflects the simple and authentic flavours of the land. Walking through the paths of the estate, visitors often encounter scenes of rural life that define this place, reinforcing the sense of tranquillity and connection to the landscape.
The apartments, ranging from one to three-bedroom units (T1 to T3), have been carefully designed to preserve the character of the estate. The décor combines restored furniture with traditional elements, creating welcoming spaces that respect the rural identity of Alentejo and the history of the Dubery family. Each unit enjoys a privileged relationship with the surrounding landscape, with views opening onto the gardens, the hills of the estate or the village of Terena.
Located within the Dark Sky® Alqueva territory, Herdade D. Pedro also offers nights of rare serenity, where the silence of the plains and the exceptional quality of the night sky invite guests to contemplate the stars.
