Built in the Netherlands in 1913, Sem-Fim is a traditional Westlander sailing vessel, once used along Dutch canals to transport goods, including flowers.
In the absence of wind, these boats were pulled by horses from the banks, a testament to simple, functional and ingenious engineering.
With 17 metres in length and an elegant silhouette, Sem-Fim preserves the spirit of classical navigation. Instead of a conventional keel, she features two lateral leeboards, allowing her to approach the shoreline and anchor in shallow waters, creating a direct relationship with the surrounding territory.
