Located in the municipality of Alandroal, within a typical inland Alentejo landscape marked by montado woodlands, wide plains and open horizons, Naveterra – Rural Hotel offers an accommodation experience deeply connected to nature, silence and wellbeing.
Set within Herdade Nave de Baixo, this property combines contemporary comfort with the serenity of the rural landscape, creating an ideal environment for rest, contemplation and connection with the surrounding territory.
The hotel features five spacious rooms and six suites, designed to ensure comfort and tranquillity. The rooms have an approximate area of 16 m², while the suites measure around 26 m² and are equipped with mini-bar and fireplace, creating a cosy atmosphere especially appreciated during the cooler months.
All accommodation units include private bathroom, air conditioning, LCD television, hair dryer, toiletries and insect protection, and some feature a semi-private terrace with views over the surrounding landscape, the swimming pool and the estate’s lagoon, offering unique moments at the end of the day when the Alentejo sunset colours the horizon.
Located within the Dark Sky® Alqueva territory, Herdade Naveterra benefits from exceptional conditions for night sky observation. The low levels of light pollution and the vast surrounding landscape make it possible to admire the Milky Way and thousands of stars with remarkable clarity, transforming the night into an experience of tranquillity and contemplation under one of the most preserved skies in Europe.
The estate also offers several spaces dedicated to socialising and relaxation. The large living room of around 120 m², with free wireless internet access, connects directly to the terrace and garden, allowing the organisation of events, meetings, exhibitions or celebrations in a landscape-filled setting.
At the estate restaurant, guests can discover the traditional flavours of Alentejo, with emblematic dishes such as lamb stew prepared in the estate’s style, black pork sausages and dogfish soup, accompanied by carefully selected Alentejo wines. Vegetarian and macrobiotic options are also available, adapted to the preferences of each guest.
Outdoors, the estate invites guests to relax by the swimming pool and solarium, where underwater music with therapeutic purposes creates a unique atmosphere of relaxation. The surrounding landscape also allows guests to enjoy a variety of outdoor activities, from walking and cycling to horse riding, fishing or simply contemplating the scenery.
The property also includes a lagoon of around 6 hectares, where fishing is possible, and offers activities related to the equestrian world, including horse training, riding courses, equine-assisted therapy and seminars on horse wellbeing.
Naveterra also promotes workshops and personal development programmes, as well as corporate training initiatives, taking advantage of the peaceful environment of the estate as an inspiring setting.
Within a short distance are several of the most important historic locations of Alentejo, including Juromenha, Terena, Vila Viçosa, Estremoz, Borba and Elvas, as well as the enigmatic archaeological site of Rocha da Mina, an ancient pre-Celtic place of worship located about 12 km away.
Between landscape, heritage and silence, Naveterra – Rural Hotel invites guests to discover Alentejo at a slower pace, exploring the natural surroundings and historic towns during the day and, at night, contemplating the starry skies of Dark Sky® Alqueva.
